Currently I am sitting out in the rain with my Son. I am under an Elm tree while my son runs amok, enjoying each drop of rain that hits his face. I am mostly protected under our big tree, with minimal drops passing through making contact with my skin.
I look up at the gorgeous layers of leaves and smile at the shelter God has given me. God is like this gorgeous tree, protecting us from evil. Sure little drops get through, and so does evil. The devil always does it’s best to get to you, to make you turn your back on God. Even though drops of rain or evil can reach you unexpectedly, think of all the hardships God saves you from. I would be soaked if not for this tree, and I would be surrounded by harm or evil if not for God’s loving shelter he provided.
So often we focus on the drops that do make it instead of all the ones that did not. Or the pain we are suffering instead of the hardships we were spared. Maybe being more like a child and embracing every drop as an opportunity for fun and growth compared to a salty adult where everything is looked at as difficult, is the way to approach life. Jesus did say live life as a child for they are welcomed to heaven.
Matthew 18:1-5 He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven
So instead of running from the rain maybe next time run to it, take it on and embrace what God is giving you because there must be a reason for this storm fore God is never wrong. God Bless you.

Thanks for this insight. God has purpose in all things.
